Apple is close to overtaking Nvidia as the largest company for the first time in more than a year.

Nvidia stock is down 3.7% today, extending its losses from last week. This brought its market capitalization down to $4.8 trillion.

Apple stock moved in the opposite direction, up 1.2% and extending gains seen the week prior. The iPhone maker's market cap sat at $4.9 trillion.
