As Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh began his press conference, stocks had erased most of their post-decision pop.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 775 points, or 1.5%. The S&P 500 was down 0.4%. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.2%. The major indexes were all still off their lows from earlier in the session, but were pretty much back where they were just before 2 p.m. ET.

Given the central bank’s statement was little changed, aside from three dissents to the decision to hold rates steady, traders will pay close attention to Warsh for any signs of what could be next for rates.
