The second earnings season is going strong, and most areas of the stock market are taking part.

This week, 138 S&P 500 companies are set to report results adding to the more than 300 names within the index that have already reported.

S&P 500 profits have grown 57% from the year prior, more than beating estimates of less than 24%, research from Oppenheimer showed.
