Stocks looked set to rise on Monday as investors’ focus shifted to inflation, with this week’s consumer-price report print likely to help determine if the Federal Reserve can stick to its guns by not hiking interest rates in September.

S&P 500 futures added 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.4%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 20 points, or less than 0.1%.

The three major indexes closed in the green on Friday following a softer-than-expected jobs report that bolstered the case for the Fed to hold rates steady.
