Stock futures perked up a bit after the July consumer price index matched expectations.

The July consumer price index rose at a 3.4% annual rate, which was in line with the consensus among economists.

Dow futures were up 0.3%. S&P 500 futures rose 0.4%. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.9%. All three were rising prior to the report but were a touch higher.
