Moderna’s cancer vaccine breakthrough has the stock on track to do something that hasn’t been done since 2008.

The stock was up 141% on Wednesday, putting it on track to be the first S&P 500 company to rise 100% or more in a day since Dec. 5, 2008, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Back then, Hartford Insurance Group surged 102.4%.

If the gains hold, it would also be just the second S&P 500 component to gain more than 100% in a trading day in the last 25 years.
